Culturally Inclusive Teaching and Learning: Unity in Diversity

Abstract
This session will examine culturally inclusive curriculum practices from a South Australian perspective. The concepts of intercultural, crosscultural, intracultural and multicultural contexts will be explored as they relate to curriculum. The session will also examine the Unity in Diversity :Building a Culture of Peace project involving a range of schools and centres in South Australia.

Evan Frangos is the Curriculum Policy Officer for Culturally Inclusive Education with the Department of Education Training and Employment in South Australia. He has worked in the field of multiculturalism since 1988 as adviser and curriculum officer in various locations across the state and currently works at the
Languages and Multicultural centre.
