Currently working as a Community Development worker at the Islamic Women's Welfare Council of Vic. Training as a Psychologist (although I have not registered). Psychological training in counselling and psychotherapy. Between 1990-1992 worked as a research assistant on various projects designed to assess the relevance and accessibility of welfare services for young people from a non-English speaking background and for young women. In 1992, coordinated a one-day conference for young women, designed and facilitated by young women on domestic violence and sexual assault. In 1993-1994 worked as a casemanager at the Gill Hostel for Men as a support worker. 1995-1999 worked as a counsellor and then managed the counselling service for young people with a history of Trauma and homelessness.
