Effective Multicultural Communication

Abstract:
With Australia firmly recognised as a multicultural country this places Governments at Federal, State and Local level with the need to communicate with information in languages other than English. What is the most effective means of communication for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds? Is it Radio? Is it Press? Is it through community consultations or involvement at community festivals?. As one of Australia's leading multicultural communication providers LOTE Marketing has the answers to the above questions in addition to information covering areas of accuracy, cultural sensitivity and effective delivery of information. It is a subject that must not be seen as an add on or after-thought to communication strategies that have been developed for English speaking people only. The importance of effective multicultural communication cannot and must not be under-estimated, LOTE Marketing proposes to raise these issues and provide solutions and case studies of relevant to the above.

Bionote:
LOTE Marketing provides a full range of services for effective targeting of multicultural communities, from Strategic advice to Campaign Implementation. The co-Directors of LOTE Marketing Geoff Meakin and Peter Horton have extensive experience in both advertising and multicultural communication that has been clearly demonstrated with Governments at all levels in the three years that LOTE Marketing has been operating.
